Egyptian Electronic Musician and Visual and Street Artist

Fajr Soliman (a.k.a EL Kontessa), born in Egypt in 1991, is one of the most exciting artists to emerge from Egypt’s alternative music movement in recent years. In a relatively short time, El Kontessa, has paved her way into this emerging music scene with a unique sound, blending Shaabi music with other sounds and genres. A graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Mural Painting Department, Fajr is also a contemporary visual artist, street artist and her artwork expresses her special concern for women, social issues and different psychological problems in the Arab world.
