hosts / Huda Asfour

Huda Asfour is a Palestinian music composer, singer-songwriter and multi instrumentalist. Born in 1982 in Lebanon, Huda spent her childhood years in Tunisia where she started her formal music training and has lived since in Gaza, Ramallah, Alexandria Egypt and the USA.  While in Ramallah, Huda joined the National Conservatory of Music where she studied musical history and theory under the supervision of Mr. Khaled Jubran and later joined Al-Urmawi Center of Mashriq Music in Jerusalem. In 2004, she moved to Egypt to continue her education and established Jehar Ensemble with Tamer Abu Ghazaleh.
