Samah Abbas is Palestinian, born in Qana Galilee in northern occupied Palestine. She lived in Jerusalem for years. She completed with honors her Bachelor's degree and Master's degree from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Therapeutic Social Work and majored in Feminist Studies. Her Master's thesis focused on examining the daily disability experience of adult Palestinian Jerusalemites with visual and/or motor impairment. In it, Samah relied on the testimonies of 15 participants and used critical knowledge fields such as global disability studies, feminist theory, settler colonial paradigm, and others. Samah is a feminist and activist for the rights of people with disabilities. Today, she works as a therapist for children affected by sexual trauma in Jerusalem.
