Ramesh Srinivasan is Professor of Information Studies and Design Media Arts at UCLA and a national surrogate for the Bernie Sanders bid for the Presidency of the United States. He is the author of Beyond the Valley: How Innovators Around the World Are Overcoming Inequality and Creating the Technologies of Tomorrow (MIT press, 2019) and Whose Global Village? Rethinking How Technology Shapes Our World (NYU Press, 2017). Srinivasan makes regular appearances on NPR, The Young Turks, MSNBC, as well as Public Radio International. His writings have been published in the Washington Post, Quartz, Huffington Post, CNN, and elsewhere.
